Shannon Solomon is the passionate Foodservice Director at Aurora Public Schools in Colorado. She and her team serve 41,000 meals daily. During Covid, she and her “A-Team” have served over 7 Million free meals to families and just last week were celebrated with a visit from @Tom Vilsask, Secretary of the USDA! You might recognize her from her time representing Lunch Ladies and Lads across the globe on the Food Network Show “Chopped” where she made it to the “Entree Round” and was honored with a trip to the White House kitchen. Shannon is also a speaker at K12 events throughout the country, speaking about best practices in school nutrition and bringing passion into school food and helps lead the K12 Powerplant Network, a positive mindset community for our food nutrition professionals.
